Yes, Tumblr will change drastically beginning tomorrow. We’ll see how their algorithms and human gatekeepers work to keep porn off the site.
I don’t anticipate anything happening to The Catalog of the Decline of the West here on Tumblr. I’ve always welcomed a close eye to every post I’ve ever made. I have consistently maintained: If any post can be shown to be inaccurate, I’ll gladly replace it or remove it. In 3+ years and 5,000+ posts, I’ve only had to remove, I think, 2 posts. In other words, everything I post is sourced to accurate news items, research articles, government reports, surveys, etc.
However, if by chance Tumblr decides to remove The Catalog of the Decline of the West, you can be sure that it will rise again somewhere else on the internet. If this goes dark, search for it within a few months somewhere else. I’ve no interest now in mirroring it anywhere, but rest assured The Catalog will continue here, or elsewhere, if it comes to that.
Keep watch. Say your prayers. Love your loved ones and your fellow man. Love your God with all your heart and all your might and all your soul.
